Local Nationwide Commercial General Contractor seeking a Jr. Estimator to work closely with our Chief Estimator and estimating department. The candidate will support the estimating process by: 

• Printing job plans and addendums.
• Posting addendums and RFI's through the bidding process to project portals and internal project folder
• Assisting the Chief Estimator in preparing the bids.
• Distributing bids to subcontractors through several different portals, and/or by email.
• Following up and staying in contact with bidders ensuring they are bidding the project and maintaining regular communication with the estimator in areas not with confirmed bidders.
• Maintaining the database of jobs in concert with the estimator.
• Attention to detail a must.
• Should be comfortable with excel, word, and the ability to learn other bidding software.
• Some knowledge of general contracting and subcontracting would be helpful.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have good oral and/or written English communication skills.
• Construction Industry experience preferred.
• Must be a problem solver.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interact with sub-contractors.
• Attention to detail is a must
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
